UCP and Keep Oakland Beautiful
UCP works closely with Keep Oakland Beautiful on city-wide clean-ups and safety efforts.
Keep Oakland Beautiful (KOB) is a local nonprofit committed to creating and sustaining a beautiful, clean, green, litter-free Oakland. Given UCP’s weekly clean-up work around Oakland, KOB became a natural partner.
UCP partnered with Keep Oakland Beautiful to support and produce their annual fundraiser which included a silent auction, a drink bar, and a public talk about the work that KOB and UCP do in the community.
UCP’s Vincent Williams spoke at this event to educate all attendees about the importance of advocating for the unhoused in Oakland and the impact UCP has had since its inception in 2021. This is one example of the community education work that UCP is committed to conducting. Vincent also speaks with neighborhood associations, corporate learning centers, and local business associations on the importance of compassion, kindness, and advocacy for our unhoused neighbors.
UCP enjoys our connection with KOB and looks forward to our continued work together to keep Oakland free of litter, debris, and illegal dumping in the future. .
