DESCRIPTION:❣️NEW LOCATION❣️ \nThis week’s location: Mosswood Park\, by the baseball diamond \nhttps://maps.app.goo.gl/djEjnH5AFSVbHD8C8 \nI will have the table and trailer set up at the above location so please meet there. A trail into the park at 369 W MacArthur BLVD leads right to the encampment. \nApologies for the late change of plans! The city hasn’t finished picking up the trash we removed from E 12th and it’s starting to spread out so we’re going to be helping out at Mosswood Park. There’s an encampment in right field at the baseball diamond there whose residents I’ve spoken to an they’re excited for us to help clean their living space. There is a lot of trash (see pictures) and I think we will be able to make a big difference for them! \nWe approach our cleanups with compassion and kindness\, building bridges between volunteers and our unhoused community. All are welcome (ages 16+). Please wear long pants and sturdy\, closed-toe shoes. All personal protective equipment and cleaning supplies are provided. We’ll be collaborating with Keep Oakland Beautiful to conduct a cleanup at Mosswood park. We’ll be covering the entire park; no litter will go unhunted! \nCome join us for an incredibly FUN day of community and service at our beloved Mosswood Park.
