A lot of trash has piled up and residents are looking forward to our presence this Saturday. Come on out to support them and make Oakland a better place for us all! \nWe meet on Saturdays at 9 am to clean up an area in need. We approach this with compassion and kindness\, and build bridges between volunteers and our unhoused community. All are welcome. Please wear long pants and sturdy\, closed-toe shoes. All personal protective equipment and cleaning supplies are provided. Donations are always welcome. \nPlease RSVP each time you plan to attend. The entire street is plagued by illegal dumping so we’re going to be making it our focus this spring. We will be starting at the large encampment at the above address. Residents are looking forward to our presence this Saturday so come on out to support them and make Oakland a better place for us all! It’s a fun way to spend a Saturday morning\, making friends and cleaning our streets. \nIf you have heavy duty rakes or scoop shovels that you no longer need\, we could always use a few more! \nWe approach this with compassion and kindness\, and build bridges between volunteers and our unhoused community. All are welcome (ages 16+). Please wear long pants and sturdy\, closed-toe shoes. All personal protective equipment and cleaning supplies are provided.
