E 12th Encampment Cleanup #4!

🚗Parking on 16th and 17th Ave, next to 12th. Don’t leave valuables in your car!
🌴This will be cleanup number 4 at the East 12th encampment and we are up to 83,226 pounds of trash removed! We’ll be hitting the large pile at E 12th and 17th avenue this week. Residents are looking forward to our presence this Saturday so come on out to support them and make Oakland a better place for us all. It’s a fun way to spend a Saturday morning, making friends and cleaning our streets.
👩🌾If you have heavy duty rakes or scoop shovels that you no longer need, we could always use a few more!
🌻We approach this with compassion and kindness, and build bridges between volunteers and our unhoused community. All are welcome (ages 16+). Please wear long pants and sturdy, closed-toe shoes. All personal protective equipment and cleaning supplies are provided.
