Community Cleanup

FreeWe’re back! UCP are pleased to announce the resumption of our weekly cleanup efforts. We are super excited to ring in the new year with you by giving back to our community and enjoying each others’ company.

There is an encampment under the overpass beside Grove Shafter Park whose residents would love our assistance in cleaning their living space. Come on out to support them and make Oakland a better place for us all!
We meet every Saturday at 9 am to clean up an area in need. We approach this with compassion and kindness, and build bridges between volunteers and our unhoused community. All are welcome. Please wear long pants and sturdy, closed-toe shoes. All personal protective equipment and cleaning supplies are provided. Donations are always welcome.
