Weekday Cleanup at Lower Bottoms Park

Free📍This week’s location: Lower Bottoms Park, meet at 1448 3rd St
🗑️Two weeks ago we cleaned up 10,000lbs of trash from inside the park and we’re going back to finish the job! We plan to get the rest of the trash out and then do beautification on the park and leave it in really nice condition. There is an encampment there whose residents are looking forward to our presence. Let’s make the park nicer for them and the neighborhood! Come on out to make Oakland a better place for us all. It’s a fun way to spend a Wednesday morning, making friends and cleaning our streets.
🌻We approach this with compassion and kindness, and build bridges between volunteers and our unhoused community. All are welcome (ages 16+). Please wear long pants and sturdy, closed-toe shoes. All personal protective equipment and cleaning supplies are provided.
